Perseverance is the ability to do something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. Goal setting is very important if you want to succeed in any project but if you do not put some ingredients to push yourself till the end of the process, you will fail sooner or later. It is not because you are not operating out of good will but because you have to improve perseverance.

At the beginning of your project, you set goals, you have many good ideas, you make promises, you are full of energy, you are determined. But when the first failure appears, you begin to question your mind, what if you did a wrong decision? You begin to doubt and think about your failure all day long.

Napoleon Hill said, “Failure cannot cope with persistence.” In your path to success, you will encounter obstacles, they are inevitable but they will bring you one step closer to your success.

If you read precisely success stories of those who have succeeded, they always put forward their numerous failures they could face and how they forced themselves to work harder and show more determination and perseverance to bring their projects to fruition.

They cultivate determination and perseverance and are willing to push themselves beyond their current limits to achieve their targets.

Determination and Perseverance: two ingredients for success

In the path to success, you will encounter obstacles, sometimes very numerous. But you will cross them. If you want to accomplish outstanding success, you have to develop a persevering attitude and learn from your failures.

Clearly, your failures will feed your subconscious mind and you will find ways to change the direction and maybe the next time you will reach your goals.

1. Step out of your comfort zone

Thomas Jefferson said, “If you want something you’ve never had, You must be willing to do something you’ve never done.” If you don’t want to take any risks, there is no chance to see the results you see from successful entrepreneurs.

Get out of your comfort zone, what does that mean? I will try to relate my experience to explain to you how it works. I wanted to create this website: but I didn’t know anything about how to use WordPress. I have no idea how to deal with plugins and no nothing about marketing. I am a high-school chemistry teacher and I know how difficult it is to learn new things and I notice that every day with my students.

I have a full-time job as a teacher and I am very busy, but I always wanted to create a website about personal development (my second passion) and earning money online. So I had to find out some hours per day to do that. What did I do? Before I spent 3 to 4 hours per day watching TV. I stopped watching TV and I start creating my website.

At the moment, I prefer listening to the radio while in my car, especially news programs, on my way to work and back home. So I gain 4 hours per day to work on my website. It was difficult at the beginning but now I am very happy with my decision.
